The AI Farmer ("we", "us", "our") is a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have under UK GDPR.

1. What data we collect

• Email address — collected when you sign up for our free prompt sampler via the form on our website.
• Cookies and tracking data — collected automatically via the Meta Pixel (see section 4) and standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited).

We do not collect payment card details. All purchases are processed by Payhip, which has its own privacy policy.

2. How we use your data

• Email address — to send you the free prompt sampler and occasional farming AI tips. We will never sell or share your email with third parties.
• Tracking data — to understand how visitors use our site and to measure the effectiveness of advertising on Meta (Facebook/Instagram).

3. Where your data is stored

• Email addresses are stored on Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), an EU/UK-compliant email marketing platform, and locally on our server.
• Server logs are stored locally on our web server in the United Kingdom.
• Meta Pixel data is processed by Meta Platforms, Inc. See Meta's Privacy Policy for details.

4. Cookies and the Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel (ID: 2147828715972546) on our website. This places cookies on your device to:

• Track page views and form submissions (e.g. when you request the free sampler).
• Measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
• Build audiences for future advertising.

You can opt out of Meta's tracking by adjusting your Facebook Ad Preferences or by using your browser's cookie settings to block third-party cookies.

Our site may also set functional cookies for basic site operation (e.g. remembering your cookie consent choice). These do not track you for advertising purposes.

5. Lawful basis for processing

• Consent — for email marketing and cookie/tracking via the Meta Pixel. You give consent by submitting the signup form or accepting cookies.
• Legitimate interest — for server logs and basic site analytics, to maintain security and improve our service.

6. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Opt out — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in every email, or by contacting us directly.
• Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Complain — lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your rights have been violated.

7. Data retention

• Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe, at which point they are deleted from Brevo and our server within 30 days.
• Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.
• Meta Pixel data is retained by Meta according to their own retention policies.

8. Third-party links

Our site links to third-party services (Payhip, ChatGPT, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
